Clinic is among the first ambulatory care organizations in the country to be awarded a new Primary Care Medical Home (PCMH) designation by The Joint Commission, a nonprofit organization that conducts onsite inspections to evaluate compliance with standards for healthcare facilities, including hospitals. The Joint Commission awarded T.H.E. Clinic accreditation as an ambulatory care organization, earning The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approvaltm at the same time that the facility received the PCMH designation.

Federal Government Awards $14 Million to 35 School-Based Health Center Programs in California

Education Secretary Arne Duncan joined Health and Human Services Department Secretary Kathleen Sebelius last Thursday to announce awards of $95 million to 278 school-based health center programs across the country – including $14 million to some 35 programs in California. Provided by the Affordable Care Act, the awards will help clinics expand and provide more health care services at schools nationwide.
